Pluristyx is a Seattle based biotech company that provides consulting, contract development services, and products in the area of regenerative medicine and advanced therapies. We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven individual to join our team to support our daily business operations and help grow our accounting systems and controls. The individual will provide daily support for accounts receive/payable, purchasing, budgeting, tracking expenses, payroll, and other financial transactions. In addition, the role will support improvements to the accounting system through the introduction of best practice tools, business systems, and policies. The title, responsibilities, and compensation will be commensurate with the level of experience of the individual.
Education & Experience
Relevant education in business or finance; CPA is preferred.
The individual ideally has financial/business experience related to the manufacture of products for use in the biotech industry and/or experience working with firms that bill for consulting and contract services and/or product sales.
5+ years experience in managing accounting systems
Duties & Daily Tasks
Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions such as accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, payroll, and invoicing customers for products and services
Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results. This includes managing the budgeting processes, tracking revenue and expenses against budget projections; perform financial analysis to track profitability of business units, determine cost of goods and services, and determine overhead expenses for business units
Provide monthly reports to management and information vital to the decision-making process
Manage financial transactions and relationships with banks, creditors, customers, and other business partners
Prepare financial statements; manage tax returns and the submission of other city, state, federal financial documents; tax planning and compliance
Other Skills & Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively interact with technical professionals
Good technical writing skills in writing/editing financial reports and documents
Good organizational skills and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Relevant computer skills and familiarity with common business software and accounting tools
Salary will be commensurate with education, relevant work experience and other qualifications.
